Will’s passion for science and his interest in the latest technological developments led him to pursue a career as a patent attorney. Will enjoys meeting with inventors who work at the forefront of their fields to learn about inventions before drafting patent applications. In particular, whilst at HLK Will has developed a keen interest and expertise in inventions in the field of mixed-signal circuitry.
Will joined the Tech team at HLK in 2016 after completing his Masters degree in Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester. Will’s Masters degree afforded him a good understanding across the breadth of physics, and whilst completing his Masters projects he gained expertise particularly in the fields of quantum magnets and computer modelling.
Whilst at HLK, Will has gained experience in prosecuting UK and European patent applications relating to a wide range of physics, electronics and communication-based technologies, and has gained particular expertise in drafting electronics-based patent applications. Will has also gained expertise in recording transfers of intellectual property at patent offices.
