Senior Solicitor (England and Wales)
Kayleigh has a first class honours degree in Human Physiology from the University of Leeds. She also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds, with commendation.
Kayleigh carried out her training contract with HLK and spent part of her time on secondment, where she gained further valuable commercial experience. Kayleigh qualified as a specialist intellectual property solicitor in 2014 and she assists in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters. Her experience cover various areas of the IPR Lifespan, including working on IP litigation proceedings in the IPEC and High Court relating to trade mark, registered design right and copyright infringement, passing off, breach of confidence (including misuse of trade secrets) and restrictive covenants and dealing with trade mark disputes at the UKIPO and EUIPO. In terms of non-contentious work her experience ranges from managing large international trade mark portfolios, IP strategy as well as drafting and advising on various IP agreements, including assignments, licences, collaboration and confidentiality agreements.
