关于Luke

Luke’s curiosity across a wide range of engineering technologies is well served as a patent attorney. He particularly enjoys the variation in work when drafting patent applications for inventions in vastly different fields and for different types of client.

Luke joined the Engineering Team at HLK in 2018, after completing his MEng in Materials Science at the University of Oxford. He was nominated for a national award for his Masters thesis on ceramics sintering. His scientific background lies in physics and chemistry.

While studying for his degree, Luke completed two industrial placements, including one relating to the manufacture and characterisation of synthetic diamonds, and another relating to the degradation of steels used in nuclear pressure vessels.

Whilst at HLK, Luke has gained experience in drafting and prosecuting UK and European patent applications relating to a range of engineering technologies, such as jet engines, autonomous vehicles, composite materials, geotechnical systems and medical devices.
