About Katharine

Katharine joined HLK in October 2019 and provides general support to attorneys and other key Trade Mark colleagues.

Katharine graduated in 2016 with a First with Distinction in Spanish. She speaks fluent Spanish, having twice worked in Spain as a British Council Language Assistant teaching students from 4 to 80 years of age. Whilst living abroad she also developed individual tutoring skills through private classes and was employed by the Junta de Castilla y León to deliver an additional Contemporary English Course to her fellow teachers. A propensity for spelling and this background in languages gives her adaptability, an excellent eye for detail and strong communication skills.

Prior to joining HLK Katharine volunteered as Participation Team Assistant at Bristol Museums, gaining a great deal of experience in administration as part of a multidisciplinary team. She enjoyed the opportunity to learn new skills and demonstrate flexibility through supporting the team’s varied and extensive workload, turning her hand to copywriting, cataloguing, video editing, social media marketing and stocktaking amongst others.

Katharine thoroughly enjoys volunteering as a way to connect with others, benefit the community and maintain wellbeing. She is a member of GoodGym Bristol, a group of runners that combine regular exercise with helping local community projects.

Away from work, she enjoys travel, being outdoors and sewing.
