Grace is a Patent Attorney in the Tech team at Haseltine Lake Kempner. She has experience in drafting and prosecuting UK and European patent applications relating to a wide range of technologies, such mobile and wireless communications systems, software, microelectromechanical systems, aerospace technologies, automotive technologies, and personal care devices. Grace has worked with clients of all sizes from SMEs to multinational corporations, and whilst at HLK has completed a secondment to the engineering department of a global microelectromechanical systems company.
Grace qualified as both a European Patent Attorney and a UK Patent Attorney in 2019 after joining HLK in 2015. During qualification, Grace was awarded the Michael Jones prize for achieving the highest mark in the Amendments of Specifications UK final diploma paper. Grace has a BSc in Physics and a MSc in Research from the University of Warwick. Over the course of her degrees Grace gained a broad understanding of all aspects of physics. The research undertaken for her Masters degree focussed on the production of two dimensional materials, in particular graphene and hexagonal boron nitride. Grace’s research resulted in a number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
